Safe Sex For Seniors

If you love sex now, why would you stop loving sex even in your old age? Seniors get down and dirty too; and in an effort to promote safe sex among seniors, a group of educators, counsellors, researchers, and others involved in sexual health have formed Safer Sex for Seniors. Seniors aren’t just people 65+, in this case it’s anyone over 45.

Some scary statistics include: STDs in seniors rising 71% over the past five years. Not so scarily, 60% of those over 60 have sex at least once a week.

Aside from STD education, this initiative also covers experimenting with sex toys, increasing your libido, sex positions, and your sexual rights in long term care.

Maybe thinking about your parents or grandparents still getting it on is frightening, but isn’t it relieving to know that your sex life doesn’t end at 40?
